The Crash Density Map below shows the locations of recorded crashes that occurred in the five-year period from 2020 to 2024 and identified serious injury and fatal crashes. Cloud shading also delineates High Crash Incidence corridors within the City. Red markers show locations of fatal injury crashes and blue markers show locations of serious injury crashes. All other crash locations are shown by black markers. Crashes located in close proximity may be shown on top of each other.
City of Fountain High Injury Network (HIN)
The Fountain Safety Action Plan High Injury Network (HIN) includes high-incidence serious injury and fatal crash intersections, corridors and vulnerable user locations that were identified using a data-driven process. The HIN will be used, together with safety priority weighting to prioritize countermeasure implementation and help the City of Fountain target safety improvements where they are most needed and will be most effective. Identification of the HIN was based on a thorough review and analysis of crash data to find locations that experienced a high number of severe injurys and fatal crashes in the past five years (2020 - 2024).
